چکیده

Abstract Purpose The soil microbial community is an important bioactive component of terrestrial ecosystems. Its structural and functional diversity directly affects carbon nitrogen processes. This study aimed to investigate the variations in communities forests with different types vegetation. Methods We selected three typical vegetation types, larch (LG), black birch (BD), mixed (LGBD) forests, located Heilongjiang Zhongyangzhan Black-billed Capercaillie Nature Reserve. Biolog-Eco microplate technology was perform these analyses. Result Our results showed clear differences between microorganisms forests. average well colour development (AWCD) change rate gradually increased incubation time. BD type had highest AWCD value, followed by LGBD; LG forest lowest value. difference alpha index significant. A principal analysis that PC1 PC2 respectively explained 62.77% 13.3% variance observed. carbon-source utilisation patterns under were mainly caused esters carbohydrates. Redundancy strongly affected physicochemistrical properties (e.g. organic carbon, total pH). Conclusion These provide a reference for further exploring relationship microbes during process succession.

Opposing Responses of Bird Functional Diversity to Vegetation Structural Diversity in Wet and Dry Forest

Disturbance regimes are changing worldwide, and the consequences for ecosystem function and resilience are largely unknown. Functional diversity (FD) provides a surrogate measure of ecosystem function by capturing the range, abundance and distribution of trait values in a community. Enhanced understanding of the responses of FD to measures of vegetation structure at landscape scales is needed t...

Dung beetle assemblage structure in Tswalu Kalahari Reserve: responses to a mosaic of landscape types, vegetation communities, and dung types.

Tswalu Kalahari Reserve is a private game reserve covering 1,020 km(2) in the Northern Cape, South Africa. It has been created from a number of reclaimed farms and restocked with large indigenous mammals. Two surveys were conducted to inventory the dung beetle fauna (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Scarabaeinae) and determine their spatial patterns and food type associations. The spatial survey used ...

Vegetation patterns influence on soil microbial biomass and functional diversity in a hilly area of the Loess Plateau, China

Purpose Shifts of microbial biomass and functional diversity under different vegetation patterns can impact the soil processes, and the specific knowledge about this can be used to develop sound vegetation restoration strategies. This study was devoted to examine the effects of different vegetation patterns on microbial biomass and functional diversity and explore the relationship between soil ...
